THE COMPLETE WATCH GUIDE

We know how difficult it is to order a watch - especially when it comes to the movement. That’s why we have created a guide to make the preparatory work easier for you. In this blog post, we will explain the different movements that exist. A watch is one of the most common accessories for men. It not only shows the time, but is also used to express your style and personality. Choose a watch with care and remember to take care of it, so you have a faithful companion for a long time to come. With our guide, we hope that you will feel confident about which watch suits you. We take a deep dive into the watch jungle and the movement.
In this blog post, you will get to read about:

  1. The movement
  2. Japanese Miyota
  3. Swiss Ronda
  4. by Billgren feautering Japanese Miyota & Swiss ISA

1. The movement

The movement is what is the very foundation of the timekeeper. There are several different constructions, but most commonly they are divided into quartz (battery) and mechanical watches. The heart of all By Billgren watches is a quartz movement. Which is powered by a top-quality battery and extremely high precision. With our by BILLGREN watches, you can choose between a Japanese Quartz Miyota movement or a Swiss ISA movement. The difference between Japanese Miyota and Swizz ISA is that the Japanese movement has a water resistance of 5 ATM while ISA has 10 ATM water resistance.

2. japanese miyota.

The high-tech Japanese company Miyota’s movement is one of the world’s most used and well-proven. In addition, the movement has incredibly good accuracy, with a margin of error of only a few seconds per month. This makes them more accurate in their timekeeping, compared to the mechanical movement. With 5 ATM water resistance, the watch can handle occasional, short instances in water, for example when showering. We use the Japanese Miyota movement in our models Gustaf and Douglas.

GUSTAF WATCH

Watch model Gustaf has a mesh strap in steel and an elegant white dial. With details such as Roman numerals in steel, this watch is the obvious choice for the style-conscious man. Also available with a black dial. The movement is of course the Japanese Miyota.

DOUGLAS WATCH

Our Douglas watch in mesh is a must-have for the trend-conscious. The steel mesh strap and the black sophisticated dial together create an unbeatable combination. Douglas can be worn at formal events as well as relaxed days together with close friends and family. With the interchangeable strap, you can choose for yourself which strap you want to wear and create a completely new look every day. The movement is the Japanese Miyota.

3. swizz ronda.

Swiss quartz movements are extremely reliable, often have many functions, and the service need is considerably less than with a mechanical movement. Water resistance 10 ATM means that the watch can be used for showering and bathing, for example when snorkelling at the water surface. We use the Swiss ISA movement in our model Malcom.

MALCOM WATCH

Our Malcom watch has a black dial with distinctive details such as a watch strap with solid steel link, 10 ATM water resistance, and an exclusive Swiss movement (Swizz Ronda). The front is made of impact-resistant sapphire glass and the watch model has a back with an engraved by Billgren logo. A sporty and timeless design classic that is a must-have in every style-conscious man’s accessory collection. Also available with a white dial.
